摘要

Electricity is one of the most vital infrastructure inputs for economic development of a country. The demand for electricity in India is enormous and is growing steadily. The gap between demand and supply is also growing. There are two ways of balancing the demand and supply. One is to set up new generating stations to generate the required power and the other is to reduce the losses and meet the demand.
