M G Raoot, assumed the charge as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of National Power Exchange Limited, a joint venture of NTPC, NHPC, PFC & TCS. Prior to taking up this assignment, he was working as Executive Director, Western Region Load Despatch Centre under POSOCO, Powergrid at Mumbai. Raoot has experience of system operation & power markets and is a recipient of CBI&P National Award for 'Creative work in Power Sector'. He published over 60 technical papers at various national and international seminars and travelled widely. He is also a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, India.
