摘要

Probing multiple signals on the fine-pitch pins of high-speed ICs has become a nightmare for logic-analyzer users. The geometries are nearly impossible to deal with, and, as clock pates skyrocket, engineers are learning that the causes of more and more debugging problems lie in the analog domain and require the simultaneous use of a wideband scope and a logic analyzer. Long before pc-board density and signal speeds reached today's levels, engineers prayed for ways to send the signal from one probe simultaneously to both instruments. Because logic analyzers accept many signals and scopes accept only a few, engineers also needed an easy way to select and quickly change the few scope signals without moving probes.
