However, because their principles of operation differ from those for linear amplifiers, it's worth examining a new set of factors to get the best possible performance from this amplifier class. Clocking, power supplies, and the switching characteristics of the output transistor are areas of concern as problems and potential solutions in Class D performance optimization.
