Generic inverters target use in CCFL-backlit LCDs

The Smart Force SFW series of dc/ac inverters finds use in a range of CCFL-backlit LCD applications. The devices come in single-, dual-, and multiple-lamp configurations for use in 5.7- to 19-in.-diagonal LCDs in medical, industrial, and other applications. They also feature onboard lamp-current regulation and dimming, strike voltages as high as 2400V rms, an operating-temperature range of -20 to +85℃, and open-lamp detection. A typical distributor price for an SFWA160JF single-lamp inverter with 6-mA-rms output current and a JST SM02 (8.0) output connector is less than $10 (production quantities).
