At EEI 2019-our annual conference that brought electric industry leaders, policymakers, and thought leaders together to discuss the current state, and the future, of America's electric power industry-it was a chef who gave us one of the most poignant moments of perspective. Jose Andres, restaurateur and humanitarian, who was twice recognized as one of Time's "100 Most Influential People," was invited to share his experiences serving meals to millions in the wake of disasters like the 2010 Haiti earthquake and 2017's Hurricane Maria. But Andres wanted to talk about our industry first. He wanted to talk about lineworkers.
