San Diego was a fitting backdrop for EEI's Annual Convention in June. Like the electric power industry, America's Finest City abounds with diversity and is a center of innovation. It's a focal point for smart community projects, like electric vehicles, data analytics, digital sensors, and smart streetlights. San Diego Gas & Electric is integrating more clean energy resources into the region's energy grid. And, San Diego is driven by service--it is home to more than 100,000 men and women in military uniform. That spirit of service was a central theme at the Convention, as EEI recognized our industry's men and women who helped to restore power for their fellow citizens in Puerto Rico.
