Agilent Technologies' thermocouple power sensors are said to offer a dynamic range in average-power measurements. As an enhanced replacement for the Agilent 8480 Series, the sensors cover a power range of -35 to +20dBm and span a frequency range of 100kHz to 33GHz (model dependent). By extending the power range down to -35dBm, these thermocouple power sensors provide a 55dB dynamic range in a single sensor. Measurement speed and repeatability at low power levels have also been improved. Each member of the N8480 Series has been optimized for a specific frequency range, and all offer high measurement accuracy with excellent power linearity.
