Solving the LED driver challenge for light bulb replacements

The lighting industry is exploring ways to replace the standard 60W light bulb with an LED-based design. LED lighting offers a 10x efficiency improvement over incandescents and a potential lifetime of 100,000 hours, virtually eliminating maintenance and replacement. The U.S. government intends ultimately to use LED lamps in all government buildings.
