As you will know if you have ever Ythirsted for a nip of alcohol in Utah, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has great influence in certain western states. Now some Mormons are heading back to the east, whence they originally came. Although there are far fewer of them in Nauvoo than in the Utah desert, a recent influx is transforming this tiny town on the Mississippi River in ways that are oddly reminiscent of the 1840s.
