Exclusive shortlisting choice with reference

This study extends Masatlioglu and Ok's (2014) results to characterize a reference-dependent short listing model with asymmetric, acyclic, transitive, and linear order first-stage criterion. The exercise is meaningful in two ways. Firstly, many practical situations fit these assumptions. Secondly, the results are useful in the comparison of reference-dependent and reference-free two-stage choices. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
