Bring on the STEM students

One of the best parts about being the Editor of ECN's Editor, besides the fancy title and adoring(ish) fans, is the job offers a platform to speak about issues that are near and dear to my heart, and important to the industry. For the past year, the ECN team has been very focused on a topic that should get more attention than it does: STEM Education. For those of you who haven't been keeping up STEM is short for science, technology, engineering, and math. ECN-and its editor-have attempted to open up discussions about education in engineering, showcase the impressive feats of young students, and continue to question how we can get more kids involved in STEM. Just because kids have more access to STEM thanks to things like Raspberry Pi and Maker-Faire, doesn't mean we can't do better.
