1. The charter market is on the rise due to a temporary short supply ofships. As scrubber retrofitting takes more than a month, ships havebeen withdrawn from services, creating short supply of shippingcapacity in the market and thus increasing charter rates. Althoughthe share of ships going for retrofitting is high in the larger segment(8,000 teu and above), the trend has also given a boost to hire rates inthe smaller segments of the container fleet.
