Energy Executive Visits Alma Mater: Receives award, tours award-winning CHP plant

Dr. Robert K. Dixon, advisor to President George W. Bush on energy security and climate change and former International Energy Agency (IEA) executive, was honored Oct. 5 as an outstanding alumnus of the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU). He received a Faculty-Alumni Award from the Mizzou Alumni Association. Since graduating from MU with bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees, Dixon has served with distinction in academia, the private sector and government. Serving under four presidents, Dixon also has held high-level positions with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
