Ellwood A. Clymer Jr., past president of IDEA'S predecessor organization, the International District Heating Association (IDHA), passed away in Florida Aug. 1, 2010. He had worked at Philadelphia Electric Co. in Philadelphia, Pa., during his tenure with IDHA. Prior to becoming president in 1975, Clymer served IDHA in many capacities including as conference technical chair, third vice president, second vice president and first vice president. During his tenure, IDHA made major strides in governance policy and advanced its international presence.
