Mitsubishi Finds New Way to Show Images on 2 Sides of LCDs

For some time, LCDs have been a one-way proposition, at least in terms of where the images appear. Unlike paper, which can carry text and images on either side of the page, most LCDs only show information on one of their surfaces. Technically, it has been possible to create LCDs with dual viewing surfaces - possible, but costly and somewhat cumbersome in size and weight. Now Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has an alternative approach.
