Link Electronics LEI-599D SD/HD Caption Decoder

The LEI-599D from Link Electronics provides decoding and monitoring of captioning information from SD and HD video signals. The unit accepts data contained either in the vertical blanking interval or VANC (SMPTE 334 caption data packet). Decoded information is "burned" into an active area of video exiting the decoder, allowing it to be viewed on a picture monitor. The LEI-599D is designed to keep latency between open and close captions to a minimum and also provides a means for removing unwanted captions from the SDI stream.
