The events of the past month remind us of how much we miss the things we take for granted in life. The impacts on our lives have varied. The fortunate among us have been able to adopt our livelihoods to working from home. But for so many others whose work depends on personal contact, the results have been devastating, with record job losses and most projects put on hold or abandoned completely. That's just the economic impact. Health care workers are now the 21st century soldiers on the frontline of this virological war; and the daily scenes of their tireless efforts shown on TV are perhaps the best illustration of how this pandemic is impacting our communities. We are grateful for their sacrifices by putting their lives on the line during this time.
