Pediatric patients often requiresedation foranxiety, pain controland/or movementcontrol. [1–6] Over the pastseveral decades, public demand has grown for high-quality sedated procedures,especially in the pediatricemergency department (ED). [4] Many ofthese proceduresare often performed under thesupervision of providers trained in specialties other than anesthesiology, including pediatricemergencymedicine(PEM).
