Spreading the Word: The Publishing Initiatives Caucus promotes law librarianship through writing

Claire Germain and Sally Holterhoff were the moving forces behind the formation of the Publishing Initiative Caucus (PIC), and they have continued to champion its causes ever since. Germain was incoming president of AALL in 2004, and Holterhoff was chair of AALL's Public Relations Committee when they both set their sights on developing a system within AALL to showcase how law librarians could raise their visibility and communicate their value effectively to practicing attorneys, judges, law firm administrators, professors, and deans, as well as other significant decision makers in the legal profession.
