A bstract We classify AdS_(3)solutions preserving N documentclass[12pt]{minimal} usepackage{amsmath} usepackage{wasysym} usepackage{amsfonts} usepackage{amssymb} usepackage{amsbsy} usepackage{mathrsfs} usepackage{upgreek} setlength{oddsidemargin}{-69pt} egin{document}$$ mathcal{N} $$end{document} = (8 , 0) supersymmetry in ten and eleven dimensions and find the local form of each of them. These include the AdS_(3)×S~(6)solution of [ 1 ] and the embeddings of AdS_(3)into AdS_(4)×S~(7), AdS_(5)×S~(5), AdS_(7) / ?_( k )×S~(4)and its IIA reduction within AdS_(7). More interestingly we find solutions preserving the superconformal algebras f 4 , su 1 1 4 , osp 4 ? 4 documentclass[12pt]{minimal} usepackage{amsmath} usepackage{wasysym} usepackage{amsfonts} usepackage{amssymb} usepackage{amsbsy} usepackage{mathrsfs} usepackage{upgreek} setlength{oddsidemargin}{-69pt} egin{document}$$ {mathfrak{f}}_4,mathfrak{su}left(1,1|4ight),mathfrak{osp}left({4}^{st }|4ight) $$end{document} on certain squashings of the 7-sphere. These solutions asymptote to AdS_(4)×S~(7)and are promising candidates for holographic duals to defects in Chern-Simons matter theories.
