Academician Constantin TOMA passed away unexpectedly, on September 8, after a life dedicated to science and education, to students and disciples. Born on November 19, 1935, in the village of Guge?ti, Vaslui County, he attended the Primary School in the village of Guge?ti and in Hu?i (1943-1947), the gymnasium in Hu?i and Guge?ti (1947-1950), the Theoretical High School “Cuza-Vod?” in Hu?i (1950- 1953) and the Faculty of Natural Sciences within the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University from Ia?i (1953- 1958).
