Many have deemed physical activity as a best buy for pub-lic health.1Regular practice of physical activity providesa myriad of health benefits for people of all ages, includ-ing reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, severalcancers, falls, dementia, and obesity.2,3Recently publisheddata show that 39% of adults and 85% of adolescents in LatinAmerica are physically inactive.4,5In Brazil, 47% of adultsand 81% of adolescents (78% for boys and 84% for girls)do not meet the minimum recommended levels of physicalactivity.
