Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is not typically included in thedifferential diagnosis of lesions with clinicalcharacteristics of pyogenic granuloma. However, cases of pyogenic granuloma-like Kaposi sarcomahave been reported in the literature. This variant isextremely rare and possesses clinical and histologicalfindings consistent with both conditions. We reportan elderly, immunocompetent man with pyogenicgranuloma-like Kaposi sarcoma, which was clinicallyconsistent with a pyogenic granuloma andpossessed histological findings consistent withKaposi sarcoma and pyogenic granuloma.
