Revision of the legume-feeding leaf beetle genus Madurasia Jacoby, including a new species description (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae, Galerucinae, Galerucini)

Madurasia Jacoby is revised and Madurasiaandamanicasp. n., endemic to the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean, is described and illustrated. Madurasiaobscurella Jacoby, syn. n., is a new junior synonym of Madurasiaundulatovittata (Motschulsky), comb. n. A lectotype is designated for Madurasiaobscurella. Literature on the biology and management of Madurasiaundulatovittata is reviewed.
