Introduction The? coronavirus disease 2019(COVID -19) pandemic has become a?challengefor healthcare systems around the?world. In thisextraordinary situation, patients with chronicdiseases such as heart failure (HF) are especiallyat?risk and require special attention.1 The?implantationof a cardioverter -defibrillator (ICD)is a?procedure which has been used to reducethe?mortality in this group of patients for manyyears.2 Over the?last years, the?introduction ofremote monitoring of ICDs and cardiac resynchronizationtherapy devices (CRT -D defibrillators)has significantly improved the?prognosisin patients with HF3 and its role may be evenmore substantial in the?current difficult reality.The?aim of the?present study was to analyzethe?rate of life threatening interventions in remotelymonitored patients with HF and ICD orCRT -Ds during the?first month of the?COVID -19outbreak.
