The aim of the study was to determine the properties of the body build in female competitors of the polish national fencing team and finding the connections with the sporting level and the training experience. The study involved female competitors of the polish national fencing team (n=11). 20 basic somatic features were measured. As a result of the carried out studies, it was determined that a larger perimeter of the forearm and the length of the upper limb are characteristic features of the sportswomen's body build. The connections of particular indexes of the body build with the sporting level and the training experience indicate a significant differentiation.
