Cord blood (CB) is currently a valuable source for therapeuticinterventions in many diseases. One of the limitations of CButilization is the reduced number of nucleated cells, includingstem cells (SC); therefore, CB banks around the world havedeveloped strategies in an attempt to implement methods toincrease CB nucleated cells and SCs.
