At the request of the author, the Editor and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy wish to retract the published article. The author contacted the journal after realising the Y79 cells had been mixed up with HEK-293T cells following a labelling error and the wrong results had been reported for the Y79 cell line. The author was unable to provide satisfactory raw data for the western blots shown in Figure 5F and was also unable to provide the original images shown in Figure 6A.
