Makoto Taniguchi, MD, PhD, the deputy editor of this journal,Neurospine and a board member of the Neurospinal Societyof Japan, passed away on Sunday October 11th in Tokyo. He was62. The cause of death was colon cancer. The diagnosis wasmade in September and the course thereafter was rapid.
