Traditional treatment methods used on wastewater from oil fields do not meet demand, and the key is to seek and develop high-efficiency and low-cost flocculants.Based on analysis of floccu-lant-treatment technologies, three types of graft flocculants,i.e.,ethylenediamine (EPAM),diethy-lenetriamine (DPAM) and triethylenetetramine (TPAM) were synthesized in the current study, and their optimal preparation conditions were established. The removal performance of these three types of synthetic-grafted flocculants in the wastewater of a specific oil field was compared and analyzed.TPAM was determined to be the best-performing flocculant, along with its application concentration range. The experiment results demonstrated that when the pH value was kept constant and the chemical oxygen demand (COD) concentration of the wastewater remained at 300 mg/L,the treatment effect of the TPAM-grafted flocculant was superior.Specifically,it removed the irritant odour in the wastewater and achieved a COD removal rate of 50.02 % and a light transmittance of 97.3 %.Furthermore,it was found the treated sewage met second-level national sewage discharge standards as well as achieved a strong removal performance.
