The solidification repair and stability research of heavy metal contaminated soil is a hot issue in environmental geotechnical research around the world. How to choose the right curing material and its content has become a difficult problem for the remediation ofheavy metal contaminated soil.In this paper, taking the heavy metal contaminated soil of the Zhongchuan Railway as the research object,we systematically studied the stable solidification effect of different compaction degrees, different dosages of curing materials and different curing ages on the heavy metal contaminated soil, using geotechnical and leaching tests. The research results show that after mixing cement and lime solidified materials into heavy metal contaminated soil, the soil compressive strength and cohesive strength increase, and the metal ion concentration in the filtrate drops sharply. With the increase of the solidified material content and curing age,the compressive strength of the soil is further improved.Lime has a better effect on reducing the concentration ofheavy metal ions in soil, but it is easily affected by different heavy metal ions. This research can provide technical support and method reference for the treatment of heavy metal contaminated soil in large-scale infrastructure projects in the loess area.
