Influenza is a significant cause of hospitalization anddeath in late fall and early spring, especially in our mostvulnerable populations. Despite high mortality andmorbidity of influenza infection, patients are still hesitantabout getting the flu vaccine each year. This articleoffers advice on educating our patients to addressmisconceptions and help them embrace this importantseasonal vaccination.
