The electrochemical noise characterization of Ti-6Al-4V alloy before and after the welding process hasbeen investigated. Electrochemical noise measurements are always simultaneously performed on twoidentical samples: one sample for the non-stressed test and the other sample for the slow-strain-ratetensile test. The difference in surface state between non-welded and welded samples is the main reasonfor the change in electrochemical characteristics. The welded sample has high corrosion sensitivity underthe non-stressed state and slow-strain-rate tensile tests. The application of an external force promotesthe electrochemical corrosion process of the sample before and after the welding process.
