F-35 implements 'strategic pause' in ALIS-to- ODIN transition

The F-35 program executive officer told House lawmakers today the program has implemented a "strategic pause" in its transition away from the Autonomic Logistics Information System, driven by "underestimated complexity" and a significant research and development funding reduction in fiscal year 2021. Lt. Gen. Erick Fick said in written testimony to the House Armed Services tactical air and land forces and readiness subcommittees that a 42% reduction to the program's FY-21 R&D funding request has slowed down efforts to shift away from the Autonomic Logistics Information System to a new, cloud-based Operational Data Integrated Network.
