Thank you for giving me the opportunity to submission to the letter to editor of this journal. Pericardial cysts are very rare benign anomalies usually located in the middle mediastinum with a re- ported incidence rate of 1/100,000. 1 The cysts vary in diameter from 2 to 5 cm or more and represent 7% of mediastinal masses and 33% of mediastinal cysts. 2 A majority of pericardial cysts (75%) are asymptomatic and usually found incidentally during routine chest X-ray. 3 However, some cases have demonstrated life-threatening complications.
