Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) models attemptto describe the pharmacological properties of adrug. Although there are a wide variety of structures (e.g.,logic models, fuzzy logic) the most common is based onordinary differential equations (ODEs). In this perspective,we explore two case studies that are based on nonlineardrug actions described by ODEs where we show that regionsof the parameter space exist that result in modelpredictions of system responses that are unacceptable.
