Simulation Research of Offshore Wind Farm VSC-HVDC Three-Level Converters for Grid Integration

摘要

Wind power generation is one of the most mature and most large-scale power-generating approaches in the new energy generation technology. With the development of large-capacity and long-distance offshore wind power, regarded as the main developing direction in the windy power systems in future, the application of voltage source converter based high-voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) has gradually attracted the attention of circles. It also puts forward higher requirements for offshore wind farm HVDC Converter. The project for offshore wind farm HVDC is introduced and then the characteristics of three-level converter are discussed in this paper. After analyzing the strategy of three-level converter, an improved SVPWM modulation method is introduced, finally verified in the MATLAB/Simulink software platform.
