摘要

Clutch is a component of motorized vehicles that plays an important role in transferring transmission and improving the performance of motorized vehicles. To improve clutch performance, it can be done by using a clutch of kevlar material. This study aims to determine the influence of Daytona Racing clutch lining on the torque and engine power of the Honda Supra X 125 motorcycle. Kevlar is a trademark for Aramid synthetic fiber. Kevlar composites have the advantages of high strength, high rigidity, and low density compared to metals and have a long fatigue life, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, stability in the environment and thermal and electrical insulation materials. The research method used is the experimental method, where torque and power are tested using a dynamometer. The data obtained from the research were then analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. The results showed the influence of the use of Daytona Racing clutch lining on the torque and engine power of the Honda Supra X 125 motorbike. The test results showed that the use of Daytona clutch lining increased torque and power at low speed compared to standard coupling with an average torque of 10.85 Nm at 3000 RPM and an average power of 4.95 HP at 3000 RPM rotation. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of Daytona clutch lining is better at low turns.
