We applaud this timely and historical account of theuse of manual therapy. While it is arguably valuable forphysical therapists to grasp the diverse history andevolution of manual therapy, it is much more impor-tant for physical therapists with high level manualtherapy skills to not be constrained by the history ofthe professionaswecontinuetoinnovate anddemon-strate our value to an evolving health care system.
