摘要

—Interferometric Ranging System with HoppedFrequencies (IRHF) is a novel ranging technique withadvanced anti-jamming capability in wireless sensornetworks. This paper investigates the ranging performanceof Maximum Likelihood (ML) estimator of IRHF undermulti-tone jamming (MTJ), which is a potential threat facedby wireless sensor nodes. Firstly, the jamming model withone malicious node transmitting MTJ signal is introduced.Secondly, the region where the false estimation locates isdetected. Finally, a closed-form expression of the probabilityof false estimation versus signal-to-jamming ratio and somesystem parameters is derived with the tool of pair-wiseprobability. The consistence between the simulation resultsand the theoretical approximations validates our analyses.The study shows that the probability of false estimationproposed here can predict the ML ranging performance ofIRHF accurately and relieve the requirement of timeconsumingcomputer simulations.
