Comparison of Annual Seasonality Transport Offers for Semi-trailers by Using Transport Databases

摘要

The article deals with issues possibilities of vehicle recovery by road freight transport. The aim of the paper is to point out to change demand for driving back by vehicles over time and identify the difference level of demand between countries. The conclusions of the article are based on authors’ research carried out in 2018 and 2019. The authors analyzed during this period return demand through a change in the shipping offer in transport databases and based on a bid change vacant vehicles, which offered free shipping capacity. Research of the article should also indicate what days of the week it is advantageous to plan shipments. The results of the research should help to orientate in the problems of semi-trailers loading not only for carriers but also for shipper.
