Condiciones higiénico-sanitarias de los servicios de alimentación en instituciones infantiles en Barranquilla, Colombia / Hygienic-sanitary conditions of food services in children’s institutions in Barranquilla, Colombia

摘要

The main purpose of this study was to identify the hygienic-sanitary conditions of the food services in 30 establishments of the Colombian Family Welfare Institute in Barranquilla-Colombia, which daily benefit children from six (6) months to five (5) years old. The health inspection checklist Act was used to collect the information, in accordance to the current health regulations of the Colombian Ministry of Health and Social Protection. The results revealed sanitary deficiencies in the food services evaluated in the study, since they failed to comply with some parameters. It is necessary to implement sanitation plan programs, as well as the promotion of training in health education and good manufacturing practices to those involved in the process to protect the health of the child population.
