SYSTEMATICS OF CHROOCOCCUS FROM PAKISTAN

摘要

The present paper reports taxonomic enumeration of genus Chroococcus belonging to the Chroococcaceae family fromthe Kallar Kahar Lake, Chakwal, Pakistan. In all, 18 species have been recorded from the study area. Of them, 5 speciesviz., C. microscopicus, C. planctonicus, C. polyedriformis, C. subtilissimus and C. vacuolatus are new records for Pakistanand South Asia. Their taxonomic description and geographic distribution is provided and discussed in this paper.
