Terapia Ocupacional y adultos mayores: acciones comunitárias / Occupational Therapy and older adults: community actions

摘要

This article refers to an experience of a group of students of Occupational Therapy of last semester with a group of older adults in the city of Cali, Colombia. The experience was carried out from a community approach, with the intention of highlighting the importance of transcending individual and welfare actions with the elderly population towards actions that incorporate joint construction, the empowerment of adults by their group and recognition of the knowledge, experiences and abilities of older adults.
