Soft-Charging Effects on a High Gain DC-to-DC Step-up Converter with PSC Voltage Multipliers

摘要

This paper proposes a split-phase control diagram for anew design of a DC-to-DC boost converter which is called PSC-boost and studies its performance. The PSC-boost has two sides,the primary is a PSC converter and the secondary is a DC-to-DCboost converter. The effect of applying the split-phase controldiagram helps reduce the output impedance successfully andincreases efficiency by 3%. The simulated and analytical resultshave been proven to validate the effect of the split-phase diagram.The simulated design contains five switches, five capacitors, sevendiodes, and three inductors to step up 10V into 160V at 200KHzand 100KHz switching frequencies. The LTspice simulator wasused to design and test the proposed model.
