Short communication:Population structure of green tiger prawn, Penaeus semisulcatus (De Haan) in Bushehr waters, Persian Gulf

摘要

Information on the population geneticsof shrimp species in the Persian Gulf isscarce. There are few electrophoreticbased study therefore the aim of thepresent study was to investigate geneticvariation among population of the greentiger prawn, P. semisulcatus, in Bushehrwaters, Persian Gulf (Rezvani et al.,2001 and Rezvani, 2002) . This is thefirst study on this species by RAPDs inthis area. The input of research in thefield of genetics has resulted in newtechnological advances that haveimproved the economic gains of shrimpproduction.
