Content Based Image Retrieval Using Color, Texture and Shape Features

摘要

Plethora of images from numerous sources has led to escalation of technical challenges forcomputer systems in storing and managing image data. This has given rise to the need of a highlyeffectual retrieval system. To address such an issue, Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) system isused for searching and retrieving expected or desired images from the database which will automaticallyindex and extract the features of images. This paper enhances the performances of the retrieval of imagesfrom a large database with comparisons to the existing works. Matlab was used for implementing theproposed work.
