A Review on the Process of Adoptability of Agile Methods in Software Development Practices

In agile system for software development is no longer a new concept. However, feworganizations are psychologically or technically able to take on an agile approach rapidly and effectively totake advantage of the numerous benefits that it offers to an organization. Those benefits include, but are notlimited to, quicker return on investment, better software quality, and higher customer satisfaction. This paper isaimed at reviewing the process involved in various agile methods in software development. The paper providesprocess that guides organizations in adopting agile practices. The paper consists of agile measurement indexand processes in stages: Identification of Discontinuing Factors, Project Level Assessment, OrganizationalReadiness Assessment and Reconciliation, that together guide and assist the agile adoption efforts of anorganizations. The processes helps determine whether or not organizations are ready for agile adoption, andguided by their potential, what set of agile practices can and should be maintained by the organization.
