Gastric cancer (GC) has a high incidence and rankssecond in the leading causes of cancer-related death. In2012, it occurred in 950,000 people and led to 723,000deaths. Despite many advances in the treatment of GC,patients show poor prognosis, and the 5-year survivalrate is 5-20%, and 80% of cases are diagnosed at themiddle to late disease stage. Therefore, identifying novelbiomarkers open new landscapes in diagnosis andprognosis for various stages of GC. Today, the existingcancer biomarkers such as MG7-Ag, CEA, CA199,CA72-4, and CA50 in clinical diagnosis cannot beeffectively applied to the clinical diagnosis of GCbecause of their low sensitivity and specificity (1).
